Watching the guys work and how they themselves explain the dishes and serve you the wines makes it a much closer and friendlier experience. We chose the wine pairing and it was a success, we liked it a lot. We told them that we are not English and they tried to explain the dishes to us in a more leisurely way so that we could understand everything perfectly, they were very kind. Delicious food, tasty, elegant dishes and quality products. The stingray was delicious, and the blue cheese dessert with the apple and rhubarb tartlet. We still dream of the butter and almond puff pastry that accompanied the second pass, hopefully we always have one ready for breakfast! Too bad the restaurant is a bit off the beaten track and you have to go there on purpose, but it's well worth it. I recommend it to everybody. Many thanks to the whole team! Ver a los chicos trabajar y como ellos mismos te explican los platos y te sirven lo vinos hace que sea una experiencia mucho más cercana y amigable. Elegimos el maridaje de vinos y fué un acierto, nos gustó mucho. Les dijimos que no somos ingleses y procuraron explicarnos los platos de forma más pausada para que pudiéramos entenderlo todo perfectamente, fueron muy amables. La comida deliciosa, platos sabrosos, elegantes y con productos de calidad. Deliciosa la raya, y el postre de queso azul con la tartaleta de manzana y ruibarbo. Aún soñamos con el panecillo hojaldrado de mantequilla y almendras que acompañaba el segundo pase, ojalá tener uno siempre listo para desayunar! Lástima que el restaurante queda un poco alejado del circuito habitual turístico y tienes que ir a propósito, pero bien vale la pena. Se lo recomiendo a todo el mundo. I've been fortunate enough to dine at a lot of really high end restaurants in my life and this was one of the best meals I've ever had. As one would expect from a Michelin starred restaurant, the quality of the ingredients and the plating was excellent. The wine pairing was very good as well. But lots of places get those things right. The true strength of this restaurant was the sauces. From a basil tarragon foam to a corriander lassi to riesling and mackerel consomme, these were some of the tastiest liquids I have ever experienced.

The 3 stars are for vibe, format and food presentation. Everyone in the restaurant starts at the same time with all the courses served at the same time, true fine dining setting. However, the food itself is not overwhelming for someone like me who grew up by the sea eating seafood every day. The cooking did not bring out the best of the ingredients. In their dishes you can no longer see the ingredients. While it’s normal for normal fine dining, I think the rule for seafood is different. The cooking focuses too much on cooking, and forgets about the basics of seafood. For fresh seafood, simply boiling or steaming would guarantee fantastic taste and texture. One way I judge a seafood dish is whether I would rather eat the plain boiled version. If all the labour doesn’t enhance the taste, what is the point?
