FAQ

What types of shochu do you produce and what is the alcohol content?

We produce a variety of shochu, including sweet potato, barley, and rice. The alcohol content ranges from 25% to 45%, depending on the type of shochu.

How long have you been in business and what makes your shochu unique?

We have been in business for 10 years. Our shochu is unique because we use traditional Japanese methods and combine them with modern technology to create a high-quality product. We also use locally sourced ingredients to support our community.

Can you provide information on the production process and ingredients used in your shochu?

Our shochu is made using a combination of fermented grains and koji (mold), which converts the starch into sugar. We then distill the mixture and age it in oak barrels. The exact process and ingredients used vary depending on the type of shochu we are producing.

Do you offer tours or tastings of your brewery?

Yes, we offer tours of our brewery and tastings of our shochu. Visitors can learn about the production process and sample our different varieties of shochu.

How do you ensure the quality and consistency of your shochu?

We have a rigorous quality control process that includes regular testing and sampling throughout the production process. We also have experienced brewers who oversee the entire process to ensure consistency and quality.

Micropub run by a lovely welcoming and knowledgeable couple, a great selection on tap, and then there are the beer fridges, an incredible selection of beer in all styles, the takeaway growlers seem very popular with the locals, recently attended a bottle share evening hosted by Gareth and Gemma, lovely beers and a real insight into the brewers and a nice crowd, a really enjoyable evening out.

Visited here for the first time for a friend's birthday. The owners organised a beer tasting for seven of us which was amazing! We had some nibbles whilst they talked us through the flavour profiles of six different beers along with how they're made. I learned so much and got a prize during the quiz at the end (teacher's pet!) They were so welcoming and knowledgeable. I couldn't recommend this place more!
