Came to bedtime beer and had a beer and ordered some food, ordered some fries which came with am array of toppings and sauce, and I don't say this ever but they were the best fries I have ever had in my life, sauce and spice way perfect, cooked perfectly. I actually ordered 2 sets to make sure it wasn't a mistake and second set was exactly the same! I can't belive how amazing simple fries were but by far one of the most amazing meals I have ever had! Everyone needs to try these and I will be back not just for the amazing food but the service from the guys at the bar was amazing and their knowledge about their product is second to nun! Amazing place and it has to be seen to be belived!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I visited this place last weekend to get food from Soca Kitchen with friends. The app wasn't working, so I had to order at the kitchen counter. My order was taken by a guy who was also serving in the bar - I assume therefore that the bar and kitchen are co-run. I waited 70 minutes for my food. The guy who took the order told me that the waiting time was around 45 minutes for food, but I only found out after we had waited for half hour. The food then took an extra 25 minutes. During this time, the ordering app was quoting 10-20 mins waiting time for food. Why the dishonesty? To make it worse, the kitchen ran out of plantain, so I was told I would receive a refund on my card. Did I receive the refund? Take a guess. The manager said he would also send vouchers via email to make up for this poor experience, but I didn't receive these either, even after prompting him. When I finally got home, mine and my friends' food was cold. The chips were like chewing through cardboard and the burgers were nothing special. The evening was ruined due to the fact we spent it huddled outside a chaotic kitchen. In summary, I do not recommend this place as the owner clearly does not care about customer satisfaction and is quite happy to keep money for food he didn't provide. Shocking.

What an absolute breath of fresh air, the place ticks all the boxes….. The best beers you could ever imagine, great Wine & Gin’s too. Defiantly try the food. Hands down best atmosphere in Welwyn.
