I have been to this branch for several years and I have always been satisfied. However, recently the after sales service has really deteriorated. The Optometrist and the Audiologist are professional, competent and friendly. However, the support staff are not efficient and not very professional either. We waited over a month for my husband's second pair of glasses, after being told it would take 4 days. On several occasions, trying to get through by phone or email remained unanswered. The first time I was told they had technical problems, which can happen but the second time took a strong email after 3 days of not having been contacted despite leaving voice mails and emails for them to finally call. I was given loads of excuses among the apologies. I was told they were 'too busy' to listen to phone messages and respond to emails, yet in the store, on several occasions I saw staff idle or chatting with colleagues in the back office whilst I was waiting to be seen. last time I went to see the Audiologist, I asked to speak to a member of the management team to voice my concerns, and was directed to the first Optical Assistant available (it was written on his badge) whom I felt wasn't competent enough to handle my complaint. I was given the story of their being short staffed and given a voucher for money off with a big smile as if that resolved the problem. I will not go back for further eye tests and favour more an independent optician.
