We had an afternoon tea and it was lovely. We changed a sandwich choice as I don't like salmon and this was not a problem at all for the team. The service was great and the staff were friendly, views over the forest and so many hours just grazing outside Service : 5/5 | Location : 5/5 Hotel highlights Great view, Quiet … More

Just got home from a 2 night stay with my husband and pooch. Second time staying here as love the location, friendly staff, dog friendly and comfortable rooms. Beds were comfy, room was lovely and clean and cosy, however do feel that it could do with some attention, big cracks and holes in the walls, the wardrobe doors need some attention and the carpet a good clean and could just do with a lick of paint to brighten it back up again. I understand we stayed in a dog friendly room but no need to let standards slip just because a dog sleeps in there, most of us are responsible dog owners and make sure their dogs are clean before entering hotel rooms! However loved the little touch of a dog bowl, towel and treats in the room, my dog was very appreciative of those. Lovely and peaceful location, however I do feel that your security guards that were on Saturday night could of been a little quieter. I was kept awake for some hours as they chatted quite loudly in reception then outside the main door which happened to be right under our bedroom window at 5am. But all in all had a lovely stay and didn't want to return home.

Very pleased with our stay here. The hotel smelled lovely throughout. Beautiful flowers in reception. We were slightly early so the receptionist allowed us to use the pool whilst waiting for our room. Room was a good size with excellent ameneties. The hotel itself is in a perfect location within the New Forest and right next door to a train station. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and cannot wait to return. The only thing i would say is the bathroom needed freshening up as it was a little tired but other than that we have nothing negative to say. Highly recommended !
