Not fit for purpose ,if you complain they threaten you with removal from their patient list , the doctors when dealing with complaints have zero integrity , the receptionists are aloof and the fact they have to employ THREE patient friends to deal with the tsunami of complaints confirms the inept patient care provided' This has nothing to do with funding , it is mis managment on a grand scale and rank poor recruitment ,they are more interested in box ticking than patient care i have complained to the PHSO and began a legal action for malpractice against one of the doctors , i am currently gathering signatures for a petition against Beacon Health Care. Having contacted my local MP Damien Moore he stated he will look into Beacon Health Care when i can get a substantial amount of signatures on the petition , judging by the amount of complaints on the reviews this will not be a issue. If you live in the Banks area of Southport expect a knock on your door , lets get to a thousand signatures and bring the arrogant management of Beacon Primary Care to account for their disasterous attempts at health care.

I arrived my appointment was seen within minutes. The ladies explained what was happening.Made me feel comfortable and offered me a coffee at the end. I only wish my GP service was half as friendly and efficient.

I moved from Bolton to Skelmersdale and the Doctors in my area then where shocking. It was a free for all. You couldn't get an appointment. You had to call at 8am and keep calling till you got through and if you where lucky you MIGHT get a call back. Even if you went in to make an appointment they wouldn't help and just tell you to call at 8am and join the appointment lotto. Since moving to Skelmersdale and joining Beacon Primary Care i really cant fault them at all. There " My GP " app is awesome. I booked an appointment at like 3.30am after waking up in pain for the 5th night running. Only had to wait 3 days for my phone call and was in to see a doctor the day after. Its night and day compared to the service i used to get.

Had nothing but trouble since I registered with this surgery! Receptionists are extremely rude and unhelpful! After being registered for nearly two years they still haven't chased up my medical records either! Surgery is an absolute shambles! 155 calls to finally get through to them be put through to prescription line after trying to explain I had spoken to them already! Even after two complaints and speaking to practice manager you would have thought something would get done about it!

Staff are nice however getting hold of them is a struggle. It's one thing having to wait in line (GPS are busy and I understand that) but to wait for it and then as soon as I get a real person I get hung up on everytime before saying anything and have to redial and be put right back to the last position. Helpfulness I'd probably give a 3 star as well.
