A very steep and long climb from the small, unsecured car parks. Dogs must be on leads after the middle gate (amber notice). Skylarks nesting on the crown and sheep sometimes grazing. Stunning views and of course the chance to view Lord Carnarvon's grave. Apart from the skylarks there are plenty of finches and chiff chaffs with kites and buzzards hassled by the crows and jackdaws, and vice versa.

Felt like a cold day in March not mid May. Beautiful views at the top, plenty of space for the kids to run around and have a look at the old hill fort remnants. The path up has been heavily washed away so it's a bit of a task getting up but we'll worth it.

The lovely viewpoint of the surrounding area is relatively easy to find. A short climb to the top, but it's pretty steep and a little muddy right now.

The path up and down is pretty steep and can be very slippery. Not advisable if you are not physically fit or don't have good walkies shoes. Once you are up the too though, views most definitely worth it. Can see Highclere Castle and all sorts of other dramatic scenery. Jolly wonderful

A great hilltop location with spectacular views. There's a small free carpark at the base of the hill. It's a short but steep walk to the top.
