What is the length of stay allowed at your halfway house?
At Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, we do not operate a halfway house for humans. We are a rescue and rehoming center for dogs and cats, and our goal is to find forever homes for the animals in our care. How are potential residents screened before being allowed to move in?
As mentioned before, we are not a halfway house for humans but a rescue and rehoming centre for dogs and cats. Potential adopters are screened through our adoption process, which involves completing an application form, meeting the animal, and undergoing a home check to ensure they can provide a suitable environment for the pet. What is your organization's mission and how do you achieve it?
Our mission is to rescue and rehome dogs and cats, educate the public on responsible pet ownership, and work to promote animal welfare. We achieve this by taking in animals in need, providing them with medical care and rehabilitation, and finding them loving forever homes. We also offer education programs for pet owners and advocate for animal welfare through our campaigns and lobbying efforts. How can individuals get involved and support your organization's efforts?
Individuals can get involved and support our efforts in a variety of ways. They can volunteer at our centre, donate money or supplies, become a foster carer, or adopt a pet from us. They can also support us through fundraising activities or by spreading awareness about our work. What is the adoption process?
Our adoption process involves completing an application form, meeting the animal, and undergoing a home check to ensure the adopter can provide a suitable environment for the pet. Once approved, the adopter will sign an adoption agreement and pay an adoption fee, which includes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and neutering/spaying. We also provide ongoing support and advice to adopters to ensure the pet's well-being.Reviews

Good grief . Can't adopt another cat , if I have no cat flap. This , even after I filled in ; I work very part time in the week and I have french doors. What the heck is wrong with you? It's love, what those cats need. Well done for deciding what homeless cats need, for them. NOT.
