I had a requirement for vinyl to be laid in a small bathroom and toilet in a rental property. The deal included uplifting and properly disposing of the old flooring and I paid for it all upfront. Once on site the floor fitter determined that given the nature of the original flooring material, the pristine decor and the freshly cleaned flat it was not appropriate to remove the old flooring. We agreed with the approach and afterwards were fully refunded by a very friendly lady in the shop for that element of the works not performed . The freshly laid flooring looks great and for the price one cannot complain. I would describe the service and quality as personal, solid and value for money.

I have used battersea carpets twice. Once to fit my appartment with a beautiful carpet and recently to fit my new home and business with a beautiful laminate floor. They always complete the job in good time and so professional. I am only actually writting the review because I googled them today to get their number, and I had hired them before because they are local and I walked past their shop and never had to google them or look at their website, so I was shocked to see a bad review for them which is why I am writing this. They have always been so professional, and their work is incredible. I am having them back to do another floor of the business and my home because they deliver on their promises and know their stuff. Farooq the manager always pops in to make sure the work is being done properly. His workman are highly skilled and very polite. I reccommend them highly.

I used Battersea Carpets based on good recommendation from a friend of mine. Never will I use them again or recommend to anybody! Service is just awful, up until the moment I paid for their services (in cash by the way!) everyone was polite, prompt and full of good will. The second carpet was installed and I realised that not only it was of poor quality (the rotten/wet smell took weeks to disappear!), but also job was badly done and I was left with a big hole right on the edge of one of the steps! My numerous calls, emails were just ignored, I kept hearing that they will call me back, that the carpenter will come back and fix it, that they ordered a new piece and it’s coming, etc, etc.... Job was done at the end of April 2013, we are now October 2013 still no follow up and the manager called Farroq is just no longer replying my emails or phone calls. I can confirm all my words by email communication I had with the store. All emails where they acknowledge the problem, say they will repair it, even tell me that a carpenter is coming tomorrow (obviously no one showed up!) and then just stop answering my emails...
