A former student here, whatever you do the work for your education in most subjects will be your own doing, very few teachers actually here who actually get it right with the majority of them blaming the students.

The primary school side is fantastic! The primary phase head is absolutely dedicated to her role and the kids in primary. She knows all the pupils names and watches them in the playground every morning no matter what weather. She is a massive credit to the school. The sendco is also one of the best sen is I’ve seen or dealt with. Trust me you do not get many good senco’s. If you are planning to place your child in primary I highly recommend it. Any issues the primary side staff will deal with it and listen to you. The high school unfortunately, as a parent, is not something I would recommend at all. This year they have taken in a lot more students than last year. There is HUGE bullying issue. The safeguarding officer failed to protect our child. He interrogated us as if we were criminals when we were the only ones trying to protect our child. He protected the bullies but never thought of our child’s safety or wellbeing. He didn’t care about our child’s vulnerability or the mental health issues it had created. The bullying has gone on for quite some time to the point now that our child is skipping school, classes, or we fear for our child’s safety because the bullies are consistently following/harassing her, swearing at her, even trying numerous times to attack her inside and outside school. The bullies swear at teachers and get away with it. The school failed to inform the parents the seriousness of this bullying that we we were forced to approach the parents and inform them of the bullying. To cover our backs we had to record our conversations with everyone involved. The relationship between the school and us parents has broken down. We cannot trust the safeguarding officer or the staff. We listened to the safeguarding officer during a very intense meeting but The safeguarding officer refused to listen to our concerns or what we’ve been through. He didn’t understand our concerns. He didn’t want to know things the bullies parents had said or done to encourage bullying including how 1 parent said we should home school our child as their daughter was bullying our child. The safeguarding officer cut us out whilst we were talking and tried to fob us off. He clearly wasn’t there to protect our child, but to protect bullies. Victims of bullying suffer mentally, emotionally and even physically as the bullies have resolved to attacking our child outside school and weekend clubs where we have now had to report as hate crime against vulnerable child and police have been involved. It has been allowed to escalate this far as the parents weren’t even told by the school hence they were oblivious to all this. It is very dire inside this school and your child’s education and wellbeing will suffer if you place your child here. Smart kids and vulnerable kids who want to learn will not be allowed to learn due to the bullies that are glorified, crowned and rule in this place will be protected & bullying encouraged by staff & their parents. The governors are not approachable as previous past history. The governors side with the school staff and fail to listen to parents. We have had to involve police for authority and support. The head of year is new & working on things but we can’t trust everything he says as he involved the safeguarding officer into our meeting when the safeguarding officer had no interest in protecting our child. You may not be heard in this school as a vulnerable child or parent. You only have to park outside the school at 3pm to see the disgusting behaviour of some the most weirdest high school pupils running across the road like wild animals, harassing others and pedestrians . Our expensive brand new car had sweets thrown on it by some wild out of control kids, pupils walked into a parent and swore at her. Just see for yourselves the most wildest, weirdest kind of human beings they have taken in from rough area behaviour. It used to prestigious because of it name “grammar school” but it’s nothing prestigious now. They just accept anyone in and it’s ruined the school name and setting. We cannot trust the senior staff
