Have been visiting the Basingstoke canal Centre since I was a kid in the 90s, myself and my other half brought our 6 year son to visit again today as its his absolute favourite place to go. We enjoyed sausage, egg and chips that we ordered from the little cafe, and then enjoyed walking around in the woods. Definitely recommend this place to everyone. The picture of the moorhen family was taken on today's visit.

It is a very good place to spend time with family and friends.. they operate a boat ride, £6 pp, one hour.. which currently is closed due to covid restrictions.. they tell you about the history of the canal.. its a beautiful ride.. moreover, you can hire canoe / boats / kayaks. And if you don't want to do any boating or kayaking, you can just walk.. the walk along side the canal is also very beautiful.. there is a cafe but haven't been there in a while.. you can get some fresh food and coffee.. there are benches and plenty of open space to do picnic.. overall it is an amazing place to spend time..
