It needs modernising. It's cold and needs to be under cover and often buses don't run on time.

I would like to write and thank the very kind bus driver who yesterday 15 Sept at around tea time drove two old ladies in their late eighties home from the bus station to Lychpit. My mother 88 yrs old and suffering from dementia and my auntie 85 yrs who is blind and almost totally deaf had been to Chineham Shopping centre and when trying to get back home to Lychpit at around 2.30 pm ended up on a bus which took them back to the place where they started from ,Chineham Shopping centre. They then got on a bus that took them to the bus station in Basingstoke. This is where the knight in shining armour stepped in and took them home safely.10 out of 10 to this man and a very big thank you from me and my brother for looking after these two old ladies, I hate to think what might have happened to them if he had not helped them in their hour of need as I live 450 miles away in Scotland.

My goodness, what a disgrace. We arrived at 16:20 for the 16:40 link bus to Newbury and waited patiently at the correct bay as the display counted down the minutes until departure. Someone came over and told us that if we wanted to go to Andover we needed to be in a different place. By this point, there were about eight of us waiting for the Newbury bus, not expecting to go to Andover, so we just kept waiting. Around 16:50, we were getting concerned that the by now very late bus had disappeared from the display screen, so we went to the office to check where it was. "The next Newbury bus leaves in fifty minutes" we were told, "you missed one that left ten minutes ago." The person didn't seem to believe that we'd actually got there early enough for the bus. I'd been stood at the bay for thirty minutes and nobody told us there was a bus for Newbury leaving. Nobody told us that they were departing from a different bay. The person in the office showed us the GPS tracking on the screen and told us that the bus was now well on the way to Newbury (presumably without any passengers on, because we were all still waiting?) They said they'd send a message to the driver, but I don't know what good that'll do. Apparently the bus driver had told us that the bus was leaving from a different bay (was this the guy who came over saying something about us needing to move if we wanted to get the Andover bus?) Anyway, we ended up waiting an hour and twenty minutes for our bus without any indication of what had happened to it until we went into the office to ask. Several of the people I was waiting with had very young children who they had to now find a way to amuse for an extra hour. We got home very late and grumpy and hungry. No communication, no predictability, just a shambles.
