Not impressed...just visited a department that can't keep to a simple timetable of appointments (even a five minute consultation). Needed to walk into Basildon Town Centre to rescue my car from a town centre car park where the parking period was rapidly running out and said that I'd have to reschedule the appointment; a bit of a worry as I won't get another for months. Spent a good 20 minutes trying to find a space in the hospital car park. Utterly useless. I do wish that the letters that are sent to patients make it clear that there is literally NO parking at the hospital. No wonder so many people are borrowing money to seek a private alternative to NHS treatment. Now hanging on the phone (so far around 40 minutes) and am being told that an operator will be with me shortly! The hospital looks very tatty these days; sad to see it in such a state - but the coffee shops are all in operation - that's a relief.
