A month ago I bought the olive oil señorío de la mesa 5l for £30 , today is £55 Vega Mancha Semi Cured Manchego Cheese Piece 150g, bought for £3.43 , today is £6.25 Catala Bomba Rice 1kg- Bought it for £4.38 and today is 9,95 In less then a month you increased the prices to 50% almost ! Nos están tomando el pelo !

I ordered from Basco for the first time as I had been to a Spanish restaurant which had some of the most delicious olive oil i had ever tasted. Having asked the restaurant staff what olive oil they used I came online and found that I could only get it from Basco. I was extremely please with the service and the way my order was packaged. I will most definitely be back. After I finish my 5 litres of yummy olive oil😊 Thanks once again for a lovely shopping experience. Siana x

Ordered a cochinillo for Christmas with a specified delivery date of 21st December. The pig was dispatched on the 18th, and never arrived. While DPD undoubtedly played a part in this, a frozen and perishable item should not be dispatched 3 days before the specified delivery date. After contacting Basco, I got a response 1 day later confirming that the pig had been destroyed and offering a refund - with little in the way of an apology. I now have 48 hours to find an alternative. Thanks for the cold shoulder Basco, next time please make it a cold shoulder of Pork!

Absolutely fantastic experience with Basco. After an initial (very minor) delay in shipping, through no fault of Basco, Miles was straight on the case and made sure I received my order as quickly as possible. When my case of 6 bottles of Jose Pariente Verdejo arrived soon after it was incredibly well packaged with bubble wrap around every bottle inside the box. Highly recommended and will definitely be ordering again.

*UPDATE 02/12/2022: Miles from Basco reached out to me following this review and was keen to discuss the situation in order to understand and explain. I was informed that DPD were at fault for the lack of deliveries this week as they had stopped accepting perishables, however Miles acknowledged that this should have been communicated better with us as customers. Whilst we did not receive our delivery this time (as it would arrive past the date it was required) we will be giving Basco another try in the future. I've revised this review to a 3/5 as our initial order with the service went well in October, and I am placing trust in Miles and Basco that this truly was exceptional circumstances. If our next order goes well I will revise this review further. *ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW* We selected Basco to supply some Iberico pork ahead of a small family celebration. We were let down. Basco not only failed to dispatch and deliver the item for the scheduled day, they also did not notify us that this had changed. When we reached out, we were ensured that the delivery had been upgraded to AM delivery and would be there the next day. When no dispatch email was received, we reached out again and were advised it was all packed, ready to go, and would be with us the next day. It did not dispatch. It did not arrive. Again, we received no communication to explain this. They claim DPD is the issue, but there are other couriers that could have been used. This also does not excuse the complete absence of any communication effort. To say we are disappointed is putting it mildly. Consider other suppliers if your delivery is time sensitive.

Good selection of products, great quality, efficient delivery - a real taste of Spain at home. We came across Basco looking for smoked sardines (as we can no longer order from Spain) and ended up getting quite a few things. The smoked sardines are delicious and take us back to tapas and pintxos in many bars in Spain. Some different beers are available, and they stock Marqués de Murrieta which is an excellent wine. Have not tried the frozen croquetas yet, but looking forward to them! Delivery was seamless and items very well packaged to avoid any breakages.
