Gary came yesterday and today to fit a 2 sliding door wardrobe, a desk and a shelf on the wall. It turns out that Gary came yesterday with no materials so he had to pull off site to go and buy what he needed. He came back at 10.30am, did some work and left at 3.30pm because he is "a busy man". Unfortunately, there has been a number of issues, starting with the baskets that Gary chose to buy with no previous agreement, the multiple marks and scratches he left on walls and ceiling, screws missing, load of silicone... When I told Gary that the baskets were not ok, he immediately put it on me to find something else, I took time in the evening to send him 3 different options, he sent me a message the following morning at 10.30am (so still not doing the work) with a photo of a bedside table that had nothing to do with internal wardrobe drawers... Job was meant to take 2 days but Gary was clearly very busy and unable to cope/complete. He required a payment after the 2nd day of work despite the work being far from finished. Requiring me to look for a different joiner to complete the work. I wish I had not chosen Gary in the first place!
