Ms Nayereh Purdy, the dispensing manager, did a great job in translating the technically challenging requirements into glasses I hardly know I am wearing. If I could give 10+ stars I would. We have as a family been going to Barnard Levit for many years. We always have extremely thorough checks, very positive and welcoming experience. Last Sunday I went for a general eye checkup (slightly delayed by me due to the pandemic!). I saw Mr Levit, and assistants Dinah, Nayereh and receptionists who were all extremely thorough as usual. Fortunately Mr Levit detected a possible issue with my R eye (nothing noticeable to me!) and from a preventative measure immediately referred me to see a surgical specialist. I received the referral email immediately to the consultant and the appointment was made within 2 days. At this initial appointment I under went painless and very effective laser outpatient treatment. Mr Levit and Team are so expert with detecting any slight changes / abnormalities to the eyes. This really demonstrates the need for regular eye checkups from experienced professionals and with excellent referral routes when required (If you have also been delayed due to the pandemic please consider getting a check up from your optometrist as soon as you can). I highly recommend Barnard Levit as an absolutely outstanding optometrists and wider team. Thank you for your expert screening and awesome caring support.

I became a patient of Professor Barnard following years of debilitating hemiplegic and hemionopic migraines. Following a thorough examination and consultation with Professor Barnard, he was able to detect that these migraines could be arising from differently angled astigmatisms in each eye. I was prescribed new lenses to wear daily and since that initial consultation a year ago, I haven't had a single migraine. This has been truly life-changing for me! I would absolutely recommend anyone suffering from debilitating migraines to see Professor Barnard.

Superb, highly professional service. Professor Barnard was incredibly supportive towards my son who has had nausea-inducing visual disturbance for 2 years. Professor Barnard identified the cause, a complication of dyslexia, explained everything clearly, finding the right combination of laminated lens tints to resolve the problem. I recently had the most thorough eye examination I believe I've ever had in my life at Barnard Levit. Professor Barnard made me feel completely at ease and took such amazing care of me throughout my appointment. Every question and query was answered, every test was done and nothing was too much trouble. The whole team were so sweet and kind, I can't recall everyone's names, but everyone I came in to contact with was so lovely and helpful. My son has been struggling with reading and concentration for a number of years. We had tried a coloured overlay which helped but was cumbersome. I found out about professor Bernard from the internet and from reading the website it was clear that he had carried out a lot research about this area of optometry. Professor Bernard gave my son and incredibly thorough eye exam and also used the Intuitive Colorimeter to find the specific colour and hue of lenses that my son needed. He was prescribed green tinted Cerium lenses which have been a huge help to my son. As he started in KS2 he was working below national average for reading. By the end of KS2 with help from the school and also with these glasses he is now working at above average for his age. We are very grateful for such a professional practice.
