I have never visited a mart with an Auctioneer with such an obnoxious attitude. Unfortunately when visiting the mart today with the intention to purchase, I had not preregistered my intention to buy. I had not seen the catalogue or facebook prior to attending and take full responsibility for not adhering to the Covid Rules the Mart had in place. What I was disgusted with was the way in which myself and husband were spoken to by the Auctioneer, we were made to feel like second class citizens for that fact I don't have facebook and don't read newspapers and hadn't looked on the website. As a business you need to be mindful that not all farming families live in a world of technology and most farmers don't have time to read newspapers or have a good enough broadband signal. We would of been happy to have been turned away this morning due to the Covid rules in place but I would point out that this could of been expressed with a professional attitude and not one that was displayed. Reluctantly the Auctioneer did say we could attend, however, following the very unpleasant conversation we decided to take our business elsewhere.

Good place to sell. Only open when there is stuff to sell like poultry or plants. Cafe is ok.
