This was our first time of leaving Mattie in a cattery. She is a young cat, who has been used to lots of individual attention, and we were anxious about how she would settle and manage her 9 days stay. We need not have worried! On collection and return home she was her usual self and was very quickly back into the groove, with no obvious signs of distress or displeasure. She was also in great condition - looked as though she had got more brushing than she gets at home! So, based on this first experience, we shall have no hesitation in using Barn View again. As others have noted, the facilities are modern, beautifully clean and well appointed. Lucy clearly cares about the welfare of her charges, and Mattie appears to have had lots of attention and stimulation. Mid-stay we were sent an update on her progress, complete with photo. So, Lucy is an excellent surrogate carer, and Barn View is a great place to leave your cat.

My two cats stayed for a month in the cattery while I was having the house redecorated. Lucy very kindly moved them into one of the large family pens so they could have more space. They were given excellent care and came home happy and relaxed. I was very impressed with the high quality of the pens and how spotlessly clean they were. I have just booked them in again while I am away on holiday later in the year. I feel really lucky to have this outstanding cattery and lovely caring owner so near to home

I am always nervous about leaving Fudge in a Cattery as he is usually quite distressed and loses weight. After finding Barn View I won’t be putting my cat anywhere else. He returned home happy and showed no signs of distress at all - which has rarely been the case from previous experiences. The communication whilst away was prompt and reassuring and the facilities and cleanliness is to a high standard. Thank you so much Barn View for the amazing care of my most precious fur baby along with your patience and determination to make friends with a slightly grumpy old cat. We’ll see you again very soon and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend your services!

Absolutely lovely service and a beautiful spot to leave my little cat. Vesper Lynd isn’t the friendliest cat and is really not a brave girl either. But she is still very well looked after. I wouldn’t want to leave her any where else.

Another stay for Chicken the cat at Barnview and as ever, she returns looking sleek, well fed and well stroked! Lucy is so caring - she sends pix and even vids of my purry kit being spoiled during her stay. i only hesitate to review so wholeheartedly because i'd prefer to keep Barnview a secret so i never have problems booking a place!
