As a current student that goes to this school, i guess it's okay. I'm doing my GCSEs and it as gotten better than the other reviews here. But the older and some of the younger students here will try to act higher then you by your looks, how u act, ur accent (if your not from around this area like me) and if they know how much money u have. If there are parents reading this, please don't try to pressure your kids to revise or finish they homework, they already get lots of pressure from the teachers, i would recommend talking to Mr Samuels, Miss Hawker, and/or Mr Robinson. They are nice teachers and will have things to recommend your kids to do if they have some trouble

If you're sending your child to this school, expect for them to be bullied and for the teachers to do nothing about it. In the 3 and a bit school years I spent here, I was verbally, physically, emotionally and cyber bullied by pupils relentlessly. Every time it was reported to teachers I was told to fill out a form and nothing else happened. My mum phone the school constantly asking for them to do something but they never did. Teachers laughed at my mum on the phone when she told them important information. This school left me with irreparable trauma and ruined education for me. When the bullying got so severe that my life was at risk, the police had to step in. Barking Abbey's response to that was for me to stay at home whilst the bullies carried on their normal lives at school. I eventually got so mentally unwell I had to leave education entirely because I was living in psychiatric hospitals. Barking Abbey is at fault for that. All of my friends from back then who went to that school also have trauma or awful memories from it either because of the teachers, the students or the overall environment. This school is awful. As a former student who left in early 2019, DON'T SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!!!!
