Lovely wine bar with a great selection of wines and nice atmosphere. Owner takes great pride in maintaining and managing the space. Do not come here in a group over 5 people, especially if your group is dynamic as there will not be space and you would be better off going somewhere else.

We went to pay, making it abundantly clear how we wanted to split the bill. My friend was very clear about it but the owner didn't listen and refused to refund and redo the transaction after we pointed out their mistake, as it 'would cost 5p'??? When I objected to his attitude he said for my friend not to bring me again??? OUTRAGEOUS customer service. I offered to pay the extra he still refused. I was a customer service manager for 4 years in a busy retail environment I've not seen the like. Disgusting. Never drink there. (The owners response below is not accurate and my friend described the way the owner treated me as ‘vile from the beginning'. I suspect he’d been drinking all night too - If the owner doesn’t like being harshly spoken to he shouldn’t be rude to start with. As for returning? rest assured I wouldn't be seen dead in Bacchus, as for the 'locals', I've lived around Crouch End and Stroud Green for over 35 years.)
