They have been an amazing enabler for my family for many years, but now the kids have got older, we no longer need their services. Over the years we have used Sitting Pretty for dozens and dozens of baby-sitting tasks - some easy, some more complicated. Sitting Pretty have always found someone, even at ridiculously short notice, and we have never had a bad experience with any of their team. The energy and professionalism they bring to each engagement is lovely to see and the kids always enjoy the company of the sitter. We trust them absolutely to do the right thing, keep the kids entertained, fed and safe, and to be an additional semi-parent in our household. I’ve been babysitting with Sitting Pretty for the past year whilst finishing my midwifery training, and would highly recommend them to parents and babysitters alike. They meet and screen all potential babysitters thoroughly, and like myself many come from a healthcare or childhood education background. Their communication has always been fantastic- as such they’re able to book babysitters at short notice. They always touch base with babysitters before a booking to make sure we have all the relevant information, and encourage us to have an introductory call with new families before a booking. For me, the best thing about the agency is that they try to rebook the same babysitters for a family, meaning the children and babysitters can develop a relationship, which is not only reassuring for parents but also really nice for the babysitters too. The business model ensures a flexible, reliable and convenient service for babysitters and parents, and I would highly recommend anyone to give them a go!
