I spent quite some time deliberating where to start swimming lessons when my baby turned 4 months old. Baby Squids was recommended to me by several mums from other baby groups, and it was also the best value class I could find locally. I have been incredibly happy with this decision. My daughter is now 9 months as thoroughly enjoys swimming - it has been wonderful watching her grow in confidence. She concentrates so well during the various games and consistently responds to verbal cues for submersions. Although I am a confident swimmer, I was very nervous coming into this with a baby, but our first teacher Heather was amazing with gently inducting us into how to be both playful and safe with our babies in the pool. Nadina has been super helpful in helping me change lesson days/times to better suit my baby's nap patterns and she is now also teaching the class we have moved to. She is lovely with the babies and very flexible and adaptable in her approach to ensure that the babies are comfortable during the lessons. So much is packed into a 30 minute lesson with stimulating short activities which are designed to both be fun and also introduce the babies to safe swimming practices. Hoburne Bashley is a lovely warm pool with plenty of baby changing facilities which helps so much with the potential stress of taking a baby swimming alone! Swimming with Baby Squids is the highlight of our week and these lessons are a really wonderful way for a parent and baby to bond.

I started Baby Squids with my daughter when she was a few months old and had only planned to do lessons for a term to get her used to the water...a year on and swimming Tuesdays are the highlight of our week! Nadina's classes are fun, relaxed and engaging. We love how there is a different theme each week with props and songs. Even if my daughter is having an off day Nadina is patient and adaptable and we always leave the pool with a smile on our faces! It has also been a good way to meet other parents and their babies in classes and the cafe and soft play at the venue makes it a nice social morning out. When I researched swim schools in the local area I found Baby Squids to be the best value for money and had only heard good things from friends and family who had swam with them in the past. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for swim classes for their little ones - Thank you Baby Squids!

We have been swimming with Baby Squids New Forest for a year now and we LOVE it. We initially had lessons with Nadina and then moved to a different day and now have Lauren. Both teachers are excellent and allow both my son and I to feel completely at ease in the water. Our lessons have always been pitched appropriately and include a range of activities to help babies and children become more confident. I can easily see the progress and look forward to each week. Absolutely recommend 👍

Baby Squids has been an excellent introduction to swimming for my son. We have been attending lessons for 8 months now and we look forward to our lesson each week! Nadina has always gone the extra mile to make the lessons really fun and engaging. Recently my son went through a fussy phase in the water and Nadina went above and beyond to adapt the lessons and support us both through it! I would highly recommend Baby Squids for any parent looking for lessons - they really are great!

We’ve been going to Baby squids at Ashurt since my Son was 12 weeks old. He’s now over 4 and the lessons are so well tailored to their age , ability and development . I’m amazed that he’s just started to take some strokes on his own and has grown so much more confident in the water thanks to the whole Baby Squids team. Have been swimming with baby squids with my little one since 8 weeks covid prevented swimming for a while but with Heather's support he has regained confidence. Ashurst is beautiful and Heather is the best teacher ever; kind, patient and super fun. My little one misses her in the holidays and asked to swim with her. It's not just about swimming I met the best support network through baby squids too. Now swim with my 6month old who also loves every minute of his time in the pool. Such a crucial skill for the kids to have.

I take my granddaughter to Baby Squids every week and she loves her swimming sessions. Her confidence in the water and her is amazing to watch & be a part of. From singing nursery rhymes with swim related words, playing with various toys that float and sink that aid learning. Of course the more usual floats and swimming aids are used to. The swim teachers make the time fun for both child & adult and the 30 minutes just fly by. So from baby to toddler to pre school you could do no better than Baby Squids.
