My husband and I finished our hypnobirthing course with Karen last night and honestly we are gutted it’s over! Until I was pregnant I had never heard of hypnobirthing but my midwife mentioned it to us at our first appointment and so I ordered a book on Amazon. From that point I was hooked and knew that a proper class would be really beneficial and interesting. From the first five minutes of the first class I was hooked. Karen is so lovely, so warm and friendly but also sooo clever! My husband was a little sceptical about hypnobirthing and did take a bit of persuasion to do the course but he will happily admit he’s completely into it now. We have learnt so so much. From the science and physical process of labour and birth and what happens to learning about hormones and their role in labour, nutrition, massage, relaxation, breathing, induction, signs of labour - and so much more. I personally feel so excited for the big day and have learnt to completely trust in the process, trust my baby knows when he or she is ready and trust that I will be able to do it. My husband feels confident that he will be able to support me during the labour and not feel like a spare part. We feel like a team ready to do this together and that is so lovely. I can’t recommend Karen and babies in waiting highly enough - you will not be disappointed that’s for sure. Thank you so so much Karen. We will miss our sessions each week!!
