We had our Happily ever after party here on the 10th June 2023. We arrived to decorate the venue and we were told that we couldn't bring in any tea. Coffee, fizzy drinks or water of our own or light the food warmers as they could loose they're licence and they would stop the party. We didnt do any of that. We were polite and we did as we were told. We were spoken to in an unprofessionally and very rude manner by the manager at the club at the time. I was very disappointed at her attitude towards myself and my work colleagues who came to help set up my wedding party. It was a very hot day and they weren't even offered a glass of water whilst they were setting up! My wedding party consisted of Dr's, Nurses and relatives, there were no children there whatsoever. We ALL purchased our drinks from the bar and we brought our own food. We hired our own DJ. After our event, both myself and my newly married husband wiped all the tables, hoovered the floor and put all the tables back to where they where to begin with. My husband took pictures to prove this. When I contacted the club to ask for my £100 deposit back, the Manager said I wasn't getting it back due to blocking the sink up with tissue paper in the ladies toilets and having to call a plumber out to fix it. There wasn't a strainer in the sink, just a hole. I was told as I never went to the toilets that there wasn't any hand towels nor was there a lock that was working on the toilet door. I was very disappointed in all this as it was my wedding party and it did spoil what was a lovely evening. I have spoken with the chairman of the club who is now having a meeting regarding whether I get my deposit back. Very disappointed and upset to have to write this but it's the truth.
