Just got back from a 4 night stay in the bluebell log cabin, what can I say! On arrival we got there an hour early, and they let us in which was great, once in, we couldn't believe how good it was, even had tea, coffee and sugar, also milk in fridge and also bread! Which was great, lovely and clean, kids really enjoyed it, and the little park on there kept them entertained for most of the time we was at the cabin, got talking to someone who lives on there and he recommended a beautiful pub down the road next to the river, it was a beautiful setting, and lovely food, but we will definitely be back to Avondale, next time for a whole week and not just 4 nights! Thanks for having us! Rooms: Rooms was clean and fully equipped Food & drinks: Lovely little river pub just 3 minutes drive down the road, can't remember the name but the owner was there, so he can tell you,

Lodge location within easy reach of nearby towns and retail parks. The lodge itself was ok , it had everything you would need for self catering holiday however it could possibly do with a deep clean. Dust by the side of the beds with extension leads in a lot of the rooms with only one outlet working in double bedroom. The kitchen bin was filthy on the outside and when I opened the door of the oven it clearly hadn't been cleaned in a long time which put me off using it. Found a baby bib behind one of the sofa cushions so don't know how long it had been there. Such a shame as the lodge itself could be so much better with a little updating. I have attached a photo now in response to your reply regarding the oven and bin, we did not raise these issues with you on site as we were only going to be there for a short time and did not feel the need to complain. Food & drinks: Small cafe on site.

Booked for a few days to visit family, lovely lodge, quiet, private and in a great location, definitely book again, Thank you 😊 Rooms: We stayed in a two bedroom lodge, spacious, beds already made, plenty of storage. Kitchen is well stocked even coffee, tea, sugar, milk and biscuits to welcome us. The lounge is plenty big enough, dining table, TV, very cosy with French doors leading to a decked balcony and patio furniture. The bathroom has a shower as well as a bath, all towels provided. Overall, the lodge was clean and cosy.
