Fished today and after a great chat with the owner, tackled up. The weather was overcast and windy but fish were showing on the main lake. The fish were eventually found towards the bottom end of main lake where the wind was predictably blowing. Using the wind helped with casting but by lunchtime both my friend and I had bagged up with four fish each. Our largest fish were 5lb+ and 6lb+ but we had to work for them. Definitely be back!

The waters are crystal clear. The first lake is huge (It’s deep and beyond anyone ability to cast where the fish hide in the middle) The owner said it was suitable for juniors (beginners) however when we attended as a junior we met up with very experienced fly fisherman with tens of year’s experience only one fish was caught all day. They weren’t impressed with lack of fish. In summary this is the most challenging for the most experienced fly fisherman. The larger lake is totally unsuitable for juniors and beginners. The smaller lake has NO signs of any fish nobody caught any fish on the smaller lake. The most disappointing feature of this fishery is they don’t supply a voucher / ticket to come back if you don’t catch your amount (quota) of fish paid for. Very expensive and no fish to show for it we won’t be coming back! ☹️

Four of us have just spent a very enjoyable day on the river Avon. The beat is immaculate, the owner could not be more helpful or welcoming. We caught some cracking brown trout. Highly recommend.

Great to be able to fish again after the lockdown. My wife and I chose this venue for today as the fish are always clean, healthy and good fighters. An awful lot of work has been done in preparation for the re Opening of this location and I must say it looks magnificent..
