I purchased my Irvin 22 years ago for ca. 450 £/ 1.200 Deutschmarks with extra-long sleeves. The service was excellent then. Apart from the fur showing wear on the cuffs, the back end and inside on the hip, the leather and all seams are still spotless. Waxing once a year did surely help, nevertheless it is a sturdy and timeless piece, well worth the elevated price. (It doubled over 22 years in fact.) Thinking about replacing it and as my age is 53 now, my second Irvin would be likely to outlast me then. Last but not least the Original-Irvin is the warmest jacket I ever owned. At minus 5 or 10 or even 15 degrees centigrade go out for a brisk walk and within a few minutes you will even start steaming. Cheers from a real fan Klaus, Germany

I have just purchased an “Original Irwin” RAF flight jacket from Aviation Leathercraft in Hampshire (also known as Moto-Lita) after many years of deliberation & a search for the ultimate jacket.Wow what a piece of craftmanship.It is better than I could ever have hoped for.I would strongly recommend anyone who considers purchasing a flight jacket to buy from this company.It is by no means inexpensive but worth every penny.Also the standard of service is first class,very proffesional & friendly too.I was advised by a very nice lady called Karen who went above & beyond to ensure great service & make sure that I made the right decision with my sizing choice. So all it leaves it me to do now is get many years of enjoyment wearing it,haven’t taken it off yet.Great jacket, from a Great company so pleased I found them & decided to make my purchase with Aviation Leathercraft.
