I went to Aves optometrists for my eye checkup as it was time. The oprometrists here are excellent, professional and friendly. However, this practice is private and I get the impression it is business minded first. They have sales people here who will attempt to pessure you into buying glasses you might not necessarily need, and think of every sales tactic in the book to try to persuade you into buying some (some of the glasses starting at over 100 pounds). It really made me feel uneasy and pressured into buying some immediately, without giving you time to properly think things over. When the sales person realised they couldn't mug me over she became passive agressive too. Muttering under her breath when I had to sign my signature at the desk "atleast you got your eye checkup for free". I left feeling annoyed and looked down upon.

I have been going to this optometrist since I was a teenager and I am now 33. I no longer live nearby but I still travel here for sight tests and contact lens reviews. Always feel they are very thorough when carrying out eye tests and also reasonably priced. Would not go anywhere else. Thank you !

Today was my first visit to Aves in Epping... I went along with my 7 week old baby who typically started to fuss and cry as soon as I had arrived for my eye test!! The staff were so incredibly sweet to me. Firstly they gave me access to an office to feed my baby and then a lovely lady from reception rocked and comforted her for the entire duration of my appointment. Polly (the optometrist) was also very kind. I couldn't have had a better experience hence writing a 5 star review within an hour of leaving!!
