I telephoned to ask about some work carried out 4 years ago on a particular date, the work on the vehicle was confirmed verbally, but upon asking for a copy of the invoice to be emailed (with the previous vehicle owners details obscured) the reply was that'll cost you £78! Now of course I understand and that a charge is necessary but for less than 10-minutes work, £20 would suffice. Poor call.

We took our Mazda Bongo to Phil and the team at Autosafe as we’d heard they were knowledgable about Bongos. We agreed a full service after Phil spent time talking both me and my partner through the differences. We always felt that they had our interests at the forefront of their advice and reassured us about various intricacies. They completed the service and sorted out two new front tyres. They didn’t need to do the full service in the end and just knocked it down to an intermediate service. Our Bongo runs great and we are now planning to go to Scotland in it! Would highly recommend! I have recently come across this garage, through searching online and feel very lucky to have found them. I have been looking everywhere in York to find a garage that provides great service at good value as it very hard to find a good garage with good efficient mechanics/engineers. This garage was quick and efficient at fixing problems with my car and did not charge me a fortune. This garage exceeded my expectations, as when I went in for the diagnostic of my engine light, the engineer had found the faults quickly and instead of repairing at a later date, the engineer went out of his way to use his engineering skills to fix the car there and then! This shows that they have some very highly skilled staff on site and those staff really look after their customers. Because they had sorted my car issue out very efficiently, I was able to go back on road and back to work quickly. Thank you very much to the guys who sorted my ford focus out and I shall be recommending you guys to everyone I know who need a garage. I will definitely be returning should I need any car works doing. Services: Oil change, Battery, Air conditioning, Transmission, Brake service & repair

Fantastic service. When a spring broke on my car Autosafe Clifton, (and in particular Chris and Phil who I dealt with on the phone) were absolutely superb. I got phone updates when promised (something so many places seem incapable of) and the price was as reasonable as you could expect. I'd love them to be my local garage, but it's a bit of a trek from Scotland 😁 Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
