Have been there with a Bmw for a diagnostic. Left the car and was told to go for a coffee and come back after 15 minutes. Was told I need a gearbox rebuild worth 1800£+vat. Had another opinion and it turned out it was the egr that was stalling the car ,not the gearbox. Have removed the vaccuum hose from egr until the new EGR valve comes and the car drives fine! I would have thrown 1800+vat for a repair I don't need. I do not recommend! 30 000+ miles later and the car drives like new with no work on gearbox. Always get second oppinion. It looks like those people just throw random numbers at you and the diagnostic is just a drive around the corner!

I have Mercedes Benz c300dh 2015 and one beautiful day I saw an error on the dashboard "exclamation mark with battery" at the beginning I thought it was a problem with the battery but after diagnostic in Mercedes 800£ :) it turned out that it was a gearbox 13k£ new or regenerated 6k£ or 7k £ repair by Mercedes, I started looking for an alternative, maybe a second hand gearbox for a replacement, what turned out to be impossible to code the used gearbox under my car?! So I started looking, up to 50 miles, for a mechanic to repair my gearbox, I called many specialists in Doncaster, Sheffield, Leeds, Liverpool unfortunately no one could do it or they didn't want a hybrid Mercedes 😆 ?! specialists…. I thought that the search area needed to be increased and I came across Mike from London who, after a telephone conversation, immediately stated that he knew the problem and would fix it, great! i put car on tow truck and sent stright to Mike, which turned out to be a few days and the car was ready for pickup, so honestly i can high recommend Mike 100% know what he doing thanks for save me my money and time !!! As a young female driver I got worried when my car kept making puddle on the drive. I searched online for a local mechanic and was lucky enough to find Mike. Mike and his team did an amazing job in finding out I had a oil leak. Not only did they quickly find the fault they were able to repair it and get my car back to me cleaned and in great working order without the leak. I took my S Max in with an electrical issue which Mike worked on to diagnose and identify the problem. This was a great start as others had been unable to. He and his team then worked professional and efficient to and got my car sorted and me back on the road quickly. I would not hesitate to recommend Mike and his team to all my family and friends Service: Auto engine diagnostic

my car (chrysler ypsilon) was having issues where the error message "transmission unavailable" would come randomly when I would be in 4th gear. The car gearbox would go into neutral and stay stuck in neutral, my car then would start to lose power and slow down and I'd have to pull over and restart the car several times before it started. So I took the car to a garage and asked them to just dissemble the gearbox to diagnose the problem and then reassemble it so I could take it to another garage for a second opinion which Mike (the mechanic/thief) agreed to. Mike disassembles it and diagnoses the problem and when I ask to reassemble it and I'd pay for the whole reassembly labour he told me it's a one way process and the gear box can't be reassembled without new parts so I was forced into getting it repaired. He never told me it was a one way process before or during the disassembly which seemed like a red flag. His diagnosis was that the synchromesh for the 2nd and 4th. I asked him to keep hold of the old parts when he would fit in the new parts and he agreed over texts that he would keep hold of the old parts for me. Lo and behold when it comes to collecting my car and I ask for the old parts he told me he did a part exchange and can't give me my old parts. So I leave annoyed because I needed those old parts because I have a warranty on my car and the warranty company would need to inspect those old parts. 2 days later after collecting my car, my car breaks down again with the exact same fault. now I'm convinced he never put in the new parts into my gearbox and the issue may never have been to do with the gear box in the first place but rather an onboard computer the communicates with the transmission. Mike then proceeds to charge me £2160 (£1800+ 20%vat) for the full repair which he forced me into and it seems the £1800 figure is common occurrence in the other review which is odd that he's charging everyone £1800 no matter what the issue is. Mike hasn't been able to provide any proof of receipt showing he purchased the new parts, I've asked him for 3 weeks and he's completely ignored my messages. Thankfully I have it in writing where he agreed to keep my old parts which make it easier for my solicitor to proceed with this case and make a claim. ps. I took this to a better rate mechinc and found out the transmission selespeed oil was just very low and it was just a £30 fix instead of the £2160 Mike stole Service: Transmission
