  Can’t comment on how the transporting crews perform because my booking never really got to completion in-spite of spending a while liaising with their “sales” people to clarify aspects especially around the insurance. Once I was ready I rang at least 2 or 3 times hours before their business hours were over yesterday (6/12) and they simply wouldn’t pick the phone. As one of their own requirement is to ring them and give them a payment card info so they can collect payment 7 days prior to date of move. With a minimum of 4 hour booking and at £145 excl. VAT the quote is serious to need checking of things due to a nightmare experience with another removals company in the last 2 months which AR booking staff were made aware of. So when I kept ringing and they didn’t answer emailed them confirming my intention to move to completing the booking and I got an email back today to confirm a time for the sales person to ring me and when I took the step to ring her myself another person informed that they were fully booked. I mean the whole setup screams sickening blitheness that is insulting to someone who took all the steps and rang and rang and rang to speak to sales person and staff were impatient, somewhat shrill even and or outright lacking clear awareness of what they are selling. I have heavy wood furniture a component of which they proposed to “crate” as they saw marble as art and said that if they couldn’t pack it in crates themselves any insurance I might buy from them wouldn’t cover any damage that was caused to this during transit. But then the insurance would cover the furniture which the marble is a component of. Then the person said that contents of any boxes I have packed too wouldn’t be insured within any insurance I would buy from them!! I wondered why should I even buy insurance from AR as the underwriters would simply exclude almost everything. The distinct feeling I got was that may be the sales team were simply not sure of what the benefits of getting insurance from them were but from the sales pitch it seemed like that unless they can pack everything themselves (i.e. a lot more money for them) before transporting, damage that may be resulted by actions of their crew could be doubted because the initial packing was done by me. Shocking. Needless to say the “crating” being part of an arts team’s remit, this would have cost me a lot when the move would be loading moving and unloading over 4 may be 5 hours. So to be safe rather than sorry I rang my home contents insurers, very reputable and reliably efficient, and they (1) laughed at the gall of selling an insurance that is largely perfunctory reassurance and (2) in less than 10 minutes did more than AR sales person were willing over nearly 2 days of contacts by me to them. So, trust being a positive attribute, I kept ringing AR as per their requirement and emailed them late yesterday and simply couldn’t meet their more royal than Royalty itself expectations. I mean badly manned phone, and inconsistency in customer focus and disrespecting a prospective client making so much effort suggests a faltering concern but should that be a surprise? Which brings me to the problem with big names and brands. Invariably they have the quality of a rather ostentatiously large appendage; either, too large to ever meet its own need of strength and therefore depressingly limp or worse still fizzling prematurely after a positive start maybe even firing blanks. Or much worse still promising and then not wanting any responsibility and making a mess because they forgot to use protective packaging (or reason, logic or good manners) meaning an embarrassing retreat. All in all a recipe for disappointment and infamy. So it is unsurprising that in the last 6 months or so they have not really had any 5 or 4 stars. I look forward to reading what the management has to retort now because as reviews go, this is a scathing one with reason created by AR. **mic drop**

  Staff were very professional, quiet and efficient. no mess, no bother. Took only 1 10 min break the whole day. Compared to others we have used in the past all crews that we worked with at Aussie from the box drop, the 2 removal crews and pick up were awesome.

  The team at Aussie have been great from start to finish. Laura at head office was so helpful in accommodating our constantly changing moving situation and her calm manner has helped keep my stress levels in check! The guys on the ground packing and moving our stuff were great too - proactive, efficient and friendly, helping to make sure that we made a good first impression on our new neighbours despite the challenges of unloading in a small country lane setting. Definitely would recommend using Aussie to anyone!
