We stayed in Saffron Walden for 3 months, and we used this station frequently to travel about on the weekends. We call Raman "the most helpful man in England" - he made sure we got the right rail card and was always pleasant and knowledgeable. The bathrooms were also good, there's usually a taxi waiting if you don't want to wait for the bus, and the staff in the little shop were helpful, too. Great little station.

Nice and quiet station with regular trains running to and from Stansted Airport, Cambridge, London, etc. Not much to do around here, but very basic facilities such as toilets (including for disabled) are available. Plenty of parking available even on weekend. Covered waiting rooms including on platforms.
