I’d been considering an upgrade record player for my vintage system but couldn’t bring myself to buy new or take the chance of buying used online. So I found time to visit Audio Gold. So glad I did. A warm welcome and knowledgeable, non judgemental discussion of my system led me to buy a used and restored Thorens TD280 mkIV record deck, far from the most expensive in the shop but a significant upgrade for me. This was fitted with a suitable cartridge while I had a great coffee, required minimum setup when I got home and suits my system beautifully. The advice and guidance I got was invaluable. It’s worth the premium to go to the experts who have the knowledge to advise sensibly and stand behind what they sell because they’ve worked on it….Audio Gold indeed.
