One of the best Buddhist centres Ive been to. The people are very salt of the earth and when they apply Buddhism they are very realistic and doing it from the heart. Most of the people there work and have marriages & kids so they have a lot of experience living the Buddhist way of life in these sort of circumstances. They apply Buddhism practically to the difficulties of modern life. There are a few monks and nuns there also so its a good mixture if you are seeking imput from someone with monastic experiences or someone who applies Buddhism to family life. They are very friendly & there is a lot of advice about how to work with the mind & emotions, as well as ideas for self development goals such as liberation, enlightenment, increasing positive thinking etc. Basically Atisha Centre rocks because the people of Darlington are amazing.
