The hostel is good, the staff helpful, and you can get simple breakfast for 3 pound and free unlimited coffee and juice. Like most hostels and hotels in the UK, it doesn't have an elevator. Like all hostels and shared rooms, you sleep with very strange, strange people, you have an experience with all kinds of people in the room you share. Sharing is definitely not for me, I don't like sleeping with people who snore or smell bad.

Astor York - what an experience! I have to say that it is my favorite hostel I have ever stayed in. Especially the friendly staff and the cozy atmosphere have impressed me from the beginning. When you arrive, you are greeted warmly and given a tour of the building, where they carry your luggage as a matter of course. At the hostel you almost feel at home and can easily make friends in the common rooms and of course at the hostel bar, where everyone has a drink and plays games in the evening. No questions asked, if anybody goes out they are going to take you with them and you are going to have an amazing time. Especially the staff made my stay indescribable and I already miss my newfound friends and hopefully I will visit again soon! xx

I stayed here one night as a solo traveler and felt safe and comfortable the entire time. I was in a four bed all female room which had a nice and clean en-suite bathroom (and amazing water pressure in the shower!!!) Overall, hostel was relatively quiet and in a good location, only a 10min walk from the train station and city centre. Highly recommend and would stay here again!
