One of the highlights of my trip to York. Knowledgeable guides show you parts of the city the bus tours could never reach. And you can't beat the cost!

A very entertaining and interesting 2 hour long tour through this beautiful city. Our guide Fraser did a great job showing us around! I greatly recommend this if you're looking for a tour that is far-off from those very touristy tours you find in any popular city.

Excellent tour, the elderly lady who conducted the tour was very elegant, polite and enthusiastic. She didn't even charge a single penny for this tour and said it was free. This group is a great way to explore the Yorkminster , Roman ruins and the adjacent areas

An excellent experience. The guide was a former council worker who used to witness the setup of AVG and the volunteers and decided to become one himself and the passion for York shone through. This is what you want from a guide someone who cares about their city and loves to show it off. So much knowledge on the history of York. Highly recommend and an institution that is a credit to York itself and makes me recommend anyone to visit York and try this. A word of caution. Arrive on time or like me find yourself having to explore York till you find then as they leave promptly at the tike stated.
