Had a new fireplace surround and log burner installed and generally happy with the product but they could learn something about customer service. Demanded full payment before they started the work and when we suggested a final payment pending acceptance of the work they promised they would sort out any issues if there were any. The installation staff left marks all over the black granite and when we called the shop the next day to advise them they told us to go and buy a cleaner that cost us £11 and clean it ourselves. 18 months later we sell the house and the buyers solicitor discovers there is no building regulations certificate coming up in the searches. We contacted them only to be told that we should have received the paperwork in the post several weeks after installation, we didn’t. They then told us we could obtain a duplicate for £26 off the HETAS website. We suggested this isn’t good customer service for a customer who has spent nearly £6000 with them upfront but they were not interested in providing the certificate for us. Sadly we can’t recommend them and certainly will not be using them to provide the new log burner and fireplace surround that we will be purchasing for our new house. NB : Response to Aspects Fires comments: I did in fact say we were happy with the product, by email, and in the review. We feel our 2 star rating reflects our overall experience given the omission of important safety paperwork that only came to our attention recently and which could have put at risk a house sale. We have never told you that we have lost the certificate so don’t know why you have assumed this. What we said was that we didn’t believe we received it. You are unable to prove that we did and instead referred us to a third party at a cost of £30. I would therefore recommend that in future you assure yourselves that customers actually receive these certificates by providing them via a follow up contact several weeks post installation rather than assume a 3rd party has done it. Overall we are not impressed with the way Aspect have disrespected what we have told you despite you having no proof otherwise. You do not seem to accept that the customer is always right and as such feel the 2 stars is justified.

What a fantastic Company . From start to finish, everything was exceptional. Fitted a double Wood burner just before Christmas The 2 installers couldn’t have done more, very professional and great sense of humour by both.
