Ashworth carried out a deep clean for me, and did an excellent job. The quality of their work was extremely good and I was impressed by their professionalism. Absolute scam! This company works in unison with landlords to ensure they can squeeze as much deposit out of tenants. Ashworth had 2 separate clerks do the check in and check out- so already there was a continuity issue, the check in photos did not match the check out photos- they would conveniently leave out photos on the check in list and then include them on the checkout. Ie a rusty towel rack, which was there when we moved in but was not in the check in report, however it was there on the checkout report- and marked down for cleaning. Another example was was the check in clerk took a picture of the washing machine without pulling the inner rubber lip down (to show the dirt) but the check out clerk made sure that they took a photo of the rubber pulled down to reveal the dirt. Due to this “thorough” check out by Ashworth, the landlord has decided to charge us over £400 by for a “professional” clean. We left the place in a better state than it was given to us. The irony is that all the positive reviews of this company are by landlords. This review won’t do anything to stop what they do but if you are a tenant I would advise using a service that is not heavily backed by landlords, the landlords are their customers not us tenants.

Our landlord used this company to do the inventory who can't get write a normal report up, as a a consequence our landlord tried to claim £400 worth of damages for missing items that were not even missing in the first place. We were accused for: - missing window key, which is photographed in the inventory in the balcony door keyhole. Other keys were in the kitchen draw but no one photographed the draw. - missing kitchen filters which is written in the notes, but were photographed the same in the check-in and check-out report as not missing. - The landlord saying the lock was broken but the report highlights 'Main front door lock for an apartment is broken' under check-in comments in highlight, but not under 'check out comments. It appears the lock is broken due to the landlord not reading the title of the box correctly. I can only assume the person writing the report didn't have enough time, or junior members of staff with lack of experience. Reference: INV0023419
