Ashridge home care are quite simply amazing! They are very mindful of each and every care giver, adapting the hours and clients accordingly. They take on board any little issue you feel may arise, they take time to give us as much time spent with each individual as possible. They will listen to their clients and their families offering support for all that are involved. I have never felt so happy and confident in the role I’ve been given.

Over time, I have found that in the beginning, companies will often boast of their accolades and make various promises. But, as is often the case, rarely deliver the quality it preached. So I can’t tell you how refreshing it is, to work for a company who not only exceeded expectations, but have set a new bar! Despite having worked in the care industry for many years, and in varying positions, Live-in Care was a new endeavour for me. A new endeavour which brought along a laundry list of questions and adaptations. Having been scarred by some negative past experiences, I can often be reluctant to voice certain concerns or even simple questions. However, what I found with Ashridge and it’s management team, is an infinitely more empathetic, superior and supportive environment. The commitment to their clients, staff members and even members of the public and community, is such a breath of fresh air! The open door policy, approachable spirit and proactive attitude to the care they help us provide, fosters much healthier relationships amongst all involved. This in turn allows for a more honest and positive flow of communications and better quality of care delivery. Being given the confidence to ask even the simplest of questions and feeling supported are what sits at the head of this companies table. What sits at its heart, is one of the most hard working group of professionals I have come across. Who’s quest for excellence, providing quality care and commitment to it’s staff members and clients, reflects in everything they do. I have only found Ashridge Home Care as absolutely deserving of its praise and most recent awards, both for the company and its employees.

This month I celebrated two years with Ashridge, I can honestly say I have never experienced such fulfilment in my thirty years working. The Management staff are like a family, they genuinely care for each individual, both client and staff member alike, you are not just a number, your opinions are listened to and valued and often acted upon. Training is encouraged throughout, both online and pre lockdown in the office. I have been asked to complete my Nvq level 3 to enhance my knowledge and assist in my new position of Senior Carer, where I visit Carers and Clients to ensure all parties are happy, feeding back to the office any concerns. After visits, I always come away in ore of the Carers, their calibre and the obvious dedication to their Client, we are in tough times, the commitment of the staff and Management team is outstanding. I am incredibly proud to work for Ashridge, the ackolades speak for themselves and continue to be awarded!

Having been part of the team at Ashridge since the beginning of the year, I would highly recommend to anyone both as a client and as an employee. I have worked with a number of clients with various health and mental issues and have received full support from Ashridge with any queries or questions I have had. Everyone has worked tirelessly through lockdown to offer the very best service to our clients at all times.

At the beginning seemed like a wonderful company to work for. But soon one realises its one rule for one and another for someone else. Before joining do your research for any company first but in thorough detail. One makes a huge loss. I could write a lot of negative points but not worth it. Double standards when it comes to training and how to approach their staff. Best to cut ones losses with payment. If you do over time or extra mileage not accounted for they don't pay you for.

From the perspective of an employee (live in carer) I have to say that Ashridge looks after us very well. This became apparent during lockdown when most of us where stuck indoors with clients, in some cases for months. The office staff organised weekly zoom meetings for us to connect, encourage each other, as well as checking in on us. They organised transport for us, promptly informed us of any organisational, local and national changes as they occured. They even did our Tesco shopping for my client and I when we couldn't get priority slots! This wasn't a one off but a standard. Having worked for other agencies that claim to be organised, and have the carers best interests and real need for support in mind yet do not act that way, I can honestly say that I am impressed with the whole Ashridge team. The live in and day carers as well as management. Ashridge is supportive of carers who want to improve their CVs, from providing tailored training, encouragement, opportunities to expand roles within the organisation and even advance! As someone who's been in the industry for nearly a decade and worked for various agencies, I can honestly recommend Ashridge both to other carers and prospective clients. The team is tight, employee retention is high because of the quality of work, support and benefits we get. This translates to having continuity of care for clients from the best carers because we are happy to work for and with Ashridge!
