Got a quote from Ashford Chroming Services UK for re-chroming the Hub Caps on a RR Cloud - a whopping £350 + Vat + shipping for EACH ONE ! - for a tad more they are available new ! - Total extortion and rip off - get quotes elsewhere- would definitely not recommend this crowd at all -

This is the second time I have used ACS...the first to re chrome a set of headlight reflectors for a Lotus Elise and the second to re Nickel Plate a 1995 Bike frame, the major part of a Orange P7 MTB restoration I have been working on during the Covid lockdowns. ACS have done a truly stunning job, I am sure it is better than when Orange originally supplied it. My only dilemma now is, do I sit it on the mantle piece and simply admire it or put it all back together and ride it!!! Covid extended the rework time, as was expected, but ACS kept in regular contact with updates and photos. Highly recommended, thank you guys!

Total bunch of liars and unprofessional "specialists" It been MONTHS of struggle and we still can't get our parts back. They lied a dozen of times about the work / shipping date. Once the parts got "completed" and we got them.. these were completely destroyed (and not even touched with chrome)!! After sending them back, the problem with communication and lies is back again. We already took some action, we are going to court with this They should be shut down!! UPDATE lol after few years i realized the owner responded. Decided to upload few photos of beautiful job you did, hope you're proud :) If theres anyone who thinks about using services from these idiots please BEWARE oh, heres my "fake" order number 12708175

Had motorcycle engine brackets rechromed by Ashford. Quote was under the actual cost, communications non existent for 3 months despite their claims otherwise proven by the dispatch email from them oddly arriving no issue after work was completed. Workmanship was very poor for a £400 charge, the chrome on 2 brackets has rust developing proving prep work they did was terrible, could have done cleaning work myself in advance had i known the condition they would come back in. chrome flashing sticking out of 1 bracket on its delivery, clearly not been filed down at all from the chroming process. Very upsetting to pay so much for parts to be so rough looking on return

I got a quote from Ashford Chroming just before the Covid 19 crisis, Julian Clark the owner/manager kept following up whether the quote was ok, or did I want to go ahead, or was it satisfactory etc, so I sent the parts to be chromed with a 6 to 8 week return. After 13 weeks I emailed to get an update and was told the parts were at the polishing stage, after 15 weeks I stated I wanted the parts back and was coming to collect them, within a week they had been posted back, copper plated and my money refunded .Now I have got to start over with another 8 week wait. This company is good, I have used them before, a bit pricey but they do triple plate. They touted for work not knowing whether they could complete it or not and a little honesty would have been appreciated.

We had three very old air conditioning vents completely refurbished. These were roughly 50 years plus old! Painted over numerous times and stiff to open and shut. Returned immaculately chromed and working with ease. Would highly recommend. Their service, workmanship and communication was excellent.
