    Ashfield Surgery has always provided my family with exemplary care over nearly 30 years. Yes, getting an appointment is more difficult than 10 years ago, but think about what they’ve been through recently and it’s the same for all the local surgeries. Polite and caring receptionists, fabulous nursing staff and good admin people support the excellent doctors. This surgery definitely doesn’t deserve it’s review rating.

    Trying to get through on the telephone is very difficult. I am really stuggling to talk to someone. The surgery phone line would not accept callers to wait in a queue and just hung up on me. I called back 10 minutes later, pressed 1 for someone to call back at 10:14am. The call back was at 12:24pm, the person on the other end could not hear me and just hung up. That person didn't call me back. I called the surgery back and the pre recorded message said calls are not accepted between 12pm and 2pm. I don't know how elderly people or people that don't have literal hours in the day to deal with this situation are managing. If I could afford to go private, I definitely would do that. The phone line system needs a complete overhaul.

    A nightmare to receive any urgent appointment. I called at 8:30 they put me on a queue and answered me back at 10:30 saying that all appointments are finished for today and they can only give me an appointment middle of next week. I told them it's urgent for my daughter but no solution was given. Receptionist do not try to engage or offer any solution; just blunt answers. I would love to register with another GP but it is not possible because of the catchment area. Never I called and was able to get an appointment on the day or even closer to the day. Is this the service we are paying our taxes to get????

    Near impossible to see a doctor who knows all about your illness. Also hate dealing with receptionists who you have to tell what is wrong with you I've put one star beacuse I cant put none .

    Terrible Service had a call back 1 1/2 hours later & still could not fit me in. Called Monday this week 08:35 got a call back over 1 hour later to tell me doctor will call me next day between 6-8 not good enough - what are we paying for in the NHS

    Used their automated call back system, got a call back 15 minutes later. Had a telephone appt booked for the next morning. Prescription given to the pharmacy that day to be picked up. Hearing peoples stories from other GP surgeries I can fully appreciate that Ashfield were quick and prompt. Their call back system is great!

    I don't know why this doctors has such bad reviews I needed an appointment for Monday and they offered me one straight away sadly I couldn't have gone because of work however I rang again at half 8 today and got through within 3 minutes and got an appointment straight away such lovely and understanding staff on the phone as well wasn't rude at all. Got seen fairly fast too. Remember its the staffs fault if nothing is available for that day try again tomorrow nothing but positive experience
