Charlotte and Jean run a great B&B, perfectly tuned to the needs of C2C walkers. We arrived to be greeted by Charlotte’s tea and homemade scones round the kitchen table. She had booked us into the nearby pub for dinner. The rooms were all really nicely set up, clean and fresh. Finally, she cooked us all a lovely breakfast as we sat in the kitchen. Absolutely faultless, and one of the nicest stops on the walk.

The perfect stop over on the coast 2 coast walk. 5 of us spent the night at Jeans B&B and we couldn't recommend it more. This was probably the best stop over of our trip. Extremely comfortable rooms with excellent facilities. But jean is the icing on the cake, a great host who cooks a perfect breakfast. Would happily stay again. Charlotte welcomes you into her home with scones and a smile which is lovely after a day's walking. Everything is immaculate and very well cared for. Lots of very thoughtful touches in the lovely bedrooms which are furnished to a very high standard. Breakfast is in the kitchen and Charlotte even managed to chat to us whilst juggling everyone's breakfast orders. Jean, the retiring owner, is also on hand for help and a chat. Such a wonderful place to stay.

Exactly what you are looking for after a long day of walking. Jean is s fabulous host and makes all the difference. The pub was closed so she made us a truly delicious meal - breakfast in the morning was also good. Lovely clean bedroom with a smart TV.

I was only passing through Danby Wiske on the C2C route but I can testify to the generosity and welcome nature Jean Norris gave me. It was just after CV19 lockdown and none of the normal shops or pubs were open but Jean noticed me wandering around hungry thirsty and was nice enough to offer some free refreshments. Made my day! :) -Louis
