Wow, I had a look at the reviews to see if this store has improved any in the two years I’ve boycotted the place. It looks worse? It’s my local supermarket but I stopped going due to no staff. Self service doesn’t work properly and/or you need a staff member to verify products?? They take ages to come as they’re busy due to lack of staff. Or go the the checkout with one staff member on, and queue for ages there? I think I’ll continue giving this store a wide berth!

Recently I have had problems with my payment card. Everywhere else no problem. I had to go to a cash point. No problem there either . Not shopping there anymore. Get it sorted

Canesten held behind the desk at the pharmacy. The female pharmacist wanted to see symptoms or diagnose before selling the cream. The cream does not have to be prescribed and can literally be bought online. They hold a lot of medicines behind a counter so they can charge more. Calpol for example, which is only paracetamol and should not be behind a counter.

I went today around 11.30am at Asda to buy some heets for my Iqos cigarette and i had a very bad experience in this shop, and the 3 ladies serving customers were very unprofessional and rude. They were to busy chatting while the queue was long and busy, bear in mind that in the queue were many older people. I could hear few of them commenting that this takes too long and they are busy talking. When I got to the cashier, I showed her what I wanted, and another lady started talking about me, like I was not there. They got offended because I rushed them. 🤦♀️🤦♀️ I don't know how things work in Asda, but I don't think that the way these ladies acted was the right way. I do understand that work should be flexible, but not like this. Very unprofessional working in retail.

ASDA as a whole is a good supermarket chain as are the other chains. However this branch is not. There are some great staff working here who are without a doubt overworked as they are few and far between. Too many automated self-service checkouts and about five or six manned checkouts that are always 10-15 people deep with a wait time of at least 10-15 minutes, the queues are absolutely terrible. The self service checkouts are supposed to be fast but aren’t as you are always having to wait for a member of staff to verify something as the machine won’t work properly. Tempers get frayed especially when members of staff on the self service checkouts show no customer service and mutter many things under their breath and treat customers like they are herding sheep. Sadly this is my local supermarket but I’d rather walk the extra 30-40 minutes to the nearest ALDI and carry my shopping back than use this store again. Sorry ASDA you have lost a customer here as I know you have lost many more from talking to many other people.
