An oppressive telescreen right in your face coming into the store & only self-service tills with screens right in your face open to pay for your shopping... I am uncomfortable on-screen, so asked for a real till to be opened, but was told that after 9PM it was company policy not to open them... Having had this issue & spoken to customer services about it before, I knew this was not true... Official Asda policy is to open a real till if a customer needs it... Apparently nobody has bothered telling this to staff on the shop floor at this particular location. Mismanaging your staffing rota really isn't my problem I'm afraid. In future, please ensure that enough staff are available to keep at least one till open. On the plus side, a member of staff scanned my shopping for me, then came & took my cash, but really, that must've wasted time, compared to actually doing the right thing in the first place. ----- Update May 2023 - Another bad experience due to 'not enough staff to open tills' & rudeness from the staff that were there. while trying to deal with a situation caused by poor management. I only returned there because Tesco in commercial road didn't have everything I needed. Next time I'll cycle to Aldi instead.

Be careful when you purchase items on sale. I brought 3 in 1 dog wormers yesterday, that were on sale from £10 to £5 . And fleece blanket on sale from £8 to £4 ,when i got home i saw on the reciept i paid original price. This is not the first time and im not the first person , that's how they steal money from Us. Just check twice at the tills when you pay . By the way, only till open for trolleys and smelly toilets as always. Horrible. 1/10.

This happened today 29/4/2022 in between 7:00/7:30pm I went into Asda and used the scan and go things, I went upstairs scanned somethings same with downstairs, I get to the till and get asked for a quality check where for some reason two items where saying they where not scanned, I was then accused of stealing by the scan and go staff despite me telling them on multiple occasions to call Security so I can prove I haven’t, witch they didn’t do. I went up to the security desk to talk to one of the guards to which he had a go at me and refused to pull up any footage, I will add. I have had multiple problems with the security guard just not doing this job. I then called Portsmouth customer service and explained the situation to which I was not listened to as I had to say three times the scan and go staff have accusing me of stealing. I have a hard enough time shopping as it is and now I have to deal with this, trying to prove my innocence and no one will listen or do there’s jobs and check!!!
