Very interesting house and garden which stretches down to River Avon... it has a great view of the Cathedral... It was inspiring to read and listen to the story of a former prime minister with varied interests and hobbies, and one who come from humble beginnings. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Also, good value for money. Thank you very much.

Visited the garden due to lack of time. Bit underwhelming but they have plans to expand it with an orchard. Lovely flowers so far though. Half price entry for house and gardens (originally £9.50) if you are English Heritage or from a few other memberships - not national trust. We went early so it was quiet and not busy. Last entry is before 4pm although it says it closes at 5pm online.

Very interesting to hear things about Ted Heath not previously owned. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable and answered questions. The gardens were lovely as well. Discount on entrance if an English Heritage member and other membership cards. Only open parts of the year and only on Thursday to Monday. Tuesdays guided tours need to be booked. But check their website for current opening times.
