Sarah’s art class is incredible. Wonderfully relaxed vibe, beautiful artwork and happy children. My daughter (10) has been going for a few months and absolutely loves it. I’m always quite jealous dropping her off! Could not recommend highly enough. 5* to Sarah and her team.

Having dabbled at Drawing & Painting for more years than I wish to disclose, my wife, Judy, treated me to a 6-week course as a Christmas present. I have loved it so much, that in May 23 I am still really enjoying a later course. Sarah is a great Teacher, with innovative ideas, ably supported by Richard, and I have learnt a great deal, especially painting techniques. I can honestly say that the two-hour session is so calming and enjoyable, and the new friends that I have made since joining are so nice, that I would recommend signing up to anyone and everyone; you will never regret it. I have been attending the adult evening classes since Sarah introduced them at the beginning of this year, and the time I spend there is without doubt my favourite two hours of each week! Sarah gently encourages you to work out of your comfort zone by experimenting with new media and techniques, and I am always amazed with the outcomes I manage to achieve with her patient guidance and enthusiasm. I have no hesitation at all in recommending her :)

Everything about Sarah's art class is outstanding. There's a perfect blend of art theory, technique and of course lots of practical application using different media. I don't give up my free time likely, but even when I'm feeling tired, Sarah's art class actually gets me out of the house! It's a totally supportive, encouraging and relaxing environment. The hot drinks, biscuits, with atmospheric music and lights is also a very nice touch which just adds to the total enjoyment.

I can warmly recommend lessons at the ArtLife Studio. I am a mature student attending the evening class. Sarah has created a beautiful, relaxing space in which to learn new skills or have a try at something new. Sarah is a wonderful teacher who has the ability to make you feel immediately at ease. Whatever your abilities, with the help of the lovely Poppy, she will guide, inspire and encourage you to explore different media. As a bonus, there is also plenty of free parking on site!

Re Adult Classes The location is lovely, the studio is permanent, cosy, not too big but ample space, it’s very well equipped and Sarah the teacher is amazing!! She teaches and guides us but also let’s us explore and make our own discoveries, she inspires us with her enthusiasm, she’s knowledgeable, fun, full of energy and ideas and not only good at art but also good at teaching. My only possible criticism is that the lessons are too short. I never want them to end. Absolutely brilliant. If you are a complete beginner or have experience I thoroughly recommend her classes. Oh and her husband makes a mean cup of tea!

I am so enjoying the ArtLife adult courses. So much so, that I’m just about to start my third one! Sarah is a fabulous teacher, and teaching us so much and encouraging us all to experiment and just enjoy art. The classes are mixed ability and extremely enjoyable and so relaxing to get lost in art for a couple of hours every week. I have learnt so much and gaining confidence and knowledge from Sarah’s expert teaching, and in a relaxed and happy class setting. I am so happy that Sarah has started to teach adults now and so lucky to be able to do the courses in her fabulous artlife studio at Woodrow.

Absolutely brilliant art classes run by Sarah. She creates such a warm, inclusive and fun atmosphere. Just the right amount of instruction with lots of opportunity to be creative and experiment, so I’m learning loads. The ArtLife Studio is so well set up too with an endless supply of art materials (and biscuits!). This is my 3rd term and I’ll be going back for more.
