Arthur Sleep shoes are classy first, comfortable all the time. Prince William introduced me to Arthur Sleep. With an introduction like that, all I could think was that if it’s good enough for the prince, then it’s good enough for me. Actually, that’s misleading. Not the part about the brand’s comfortable slippers being fit for a prince. I mean the part about Prince William making the introduction. I had read about Arthur Sleep in an article about the prince’s preferred velvet pair. This was endorsement enough for me. That was late in 2019. I sent off a mail to the contact address on the website to inquire about having a pair made. In no time, Jahangir Azam, a co-founder wrote back. He was excited to hear that Arthur Sleep's fame had reached Nigeria. He was happy I wanted a pair made. After a couple of back and forth mails and calls regarding size, fitting and materials, I commissioned my first pair. When it finally arrived, it exceeded my expectations. It arrived in the softest suede shoe-bag imaginable. The slippers were comfortable and classy. Each time I wore it, I received compliments in spoonfuls. It had been worth the wait. Delivery had taken a bit longer than I anticipated. There were also times that the shop was less than prompt in responding to my emails. To be fair, and I have to be balanced here. These delays in communication are almost universal when ordering a bespoke pair. It was also the early stages of the company. Jahangir was always effusive with apologies when he reverted back. Since then I have ordered a second pair. This one is, to my mind, even better made than the first. The attention to detail must be seen to be believed. Two years later, both pairs are still in active service. A bit worn here and there, yes, but those are the character lines of properly enjoyed footwear. What I do like is that Jahangir occasionally checks up on me to know how I am enjoying the pair. He is genuinely interested in feedback from buyers. I am happy that the brand has maintained its steady growth. It has kept its growth at a manageable space that does not put undue pressure on quality management. It is not easy building a luxury brand in the post-COVID era. Jahangir and his co-founder, Christopher Boadle, have done wonders taking Arthur Sleep to the next level. The choice in styles and materials has been significantly extended. They have also moved to a plush new store on Savile Row. All pairs are handmade on the premises. I am proud at what the co-founders are doing with the brand. I would not hesitate to order more pairs from Arthur Sleep and recommend to friends.

I am lucky enough to own a pair of Arthur Sleep brown suede loafers and I would go so far as to say that they are the best pair of loafers I have ever worn. Arthur Sleep shoes are made from the best materials and are incredibly comfortable to wear. The nap on this particular suede is deep and soft. The construction of these loafers rivals any of the other top English shoemakers, however, they are so much more comfortable than any other loafers I have owned. They are built to last and are traditional but with a subtle modern elegance. I highly recommend Arthur Sleep to anyone looking for a smart, versatile, and comfortable pair of shoes. They are an excellent investment that will provide years of use and enjoyment. Lastly, to Chris and Jay at Arthur Sleep, chapeau gentlemen.

Just Picked up a Pair of black, Calf skin, Square toe, loafers. I have to say they’re exceptional. Super comfortable, elegant, and well made. The entire fitting process was great, very helpful Staff, even the packaging and shoe box are exceptional. Worth every penny.

I tried Arthur Sleep after finding them online and seeing longtime patrons such as Prince William and Robert De Niro frequently being spotted in them. They provided an exceptional product and service when I placed an order for my calf leather pair for my wedding. The quality was exquisite and what took me by surprise the most is the comfort, with cushioned leather inside that made them wearable at ease for my big day. The presentation and collection also made me very happy with great attention to detail. Since my purchase I've been back in-store where the experience and customer service gets better every time I visit. I'm due to head back in a couple of weeks for a bespoke experience which I'm excited about (I'll post an update here). I wouldn't even think twice about ordering with Arthur Sleep, it was truly a pleasure.
