We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise and offer a flexible cancellation policy for our classes. We had a fabulous day out on Lake Windermere with Neil for our first try at sailing a sailboat. Neil made us feel very comfortable with his easy but competent manner. We loved taking a turn on the tiller and feeling like we were part of the crew. We highly recommend Neil and Ark Sailing for an enjoyable chance to learn hands on how to sail. Thanks Neil for a fabulous time!

We spent an afternoon on Windermere with Ark Sailing yesterday. The whole experience was great with plenty of instruction provided by Neil - a top bloke! Even as absolute beginners we got involved and had learnt a great deal by the end of our session. Thanks!

I had a days own-boat tuition booked with Neil and it went really well. Neil provided transport to my swinging mooring, which really helped. When we got on board we noticed the furling genoa had come away from the stay at the front of the boat. Neil spent some time providing a fix then we improved the mooring strops which involved Neil popping to the shops for me. Then we were ready for Neil to provide some much needed boat handling skills and advice on sailing and boat maintenance using his vast experience and local knowledge. Won't hesitate to book again thanks

After years of thinking about learning to sail my husband and I finally took the plunge and contacted Neil from Ark sailing. I have gone from knowing nothing at all about sailing a boat to achieving RYA level 2 in fours days. I never knew that common words such as tacking, shrouds or sheets had another meaning!! Or that I have been tying my shoes laces wrong for the last 50 years!! I would highly recommend Neil to anyone who is thinking about learning to sail. We were in expert hands, with someone who was very knowledgeable and genuinely loved sailing and being out on the lake. Neil was a great instructor who knew how to get the best from us, when to stand back and when to intervene. Thank you so much Neil, we had a great time with you. We can now look forward to many sailing adventures in the future.

Neil has the patience of a saint, and superb knowledge. He was also good fun. He managed to teach me and my buddy Andrew over a weekend session and by the end of it we felt very comfortable sailing under his command. If he can teach me, as the saying goes, he can teach anyone πŸ˜€πŸ‘

Neil gave us a memorable experience that will last us a lifetime! He asked us what we wanted to do, and we were able to get the perfect blend of enjoying sailing and learning the basics of sailing. He is a fantastic person and great company. It was amazing to see how he would guide us into places that had more wind. We couldn't have asked for anything more.
