Two stars as I’ve used this store for a few successful transactions but the recent one almost left me leaving one star. Tried to return a wicker basket that broke as soon as I lifted the lid for the first time, the ‘manager’ in store told me I couldn’t have the delivery charge refunded because “the petrol had been spent already” and also refused to accept it was faulty, as apparently plenty of customers would have found this acceptable to break at first use. I quoted consumer rights act at him and he didn’t care at all. I went outside and called customer services who immediately apologised and offered to collect the item (more petrol used 🙄) to save me going back in, all whilst issuing a full refund. So in short, in this store at least, the customer isn’t always right…….even when he is.
