Great walk around the Reservoir, not too busy during the week, few dog walkers, joggers and people just out for a stroll.. Friendly atmosphere, as I had to stop and explain the breed of dog I had 😁.... Small Carpark at one entrance on Haigh Moor Rd, was told that the little farm shop, nearby is open during busier times of year... Footpath which loops the water are OK for bikes, scooters and prams.. Plenty of seagulls taking a rest on the water, animals in fields and great views out to Emley moor mast.. Well signed Reservoir, deep water, no swimming, dogs on leads..

Right on our doorstep. Lovely walk with fabulous views to the south, over towards Penistone and the Peak District. Car park for those coming from further afield, plenty of bins for bagged dog poo and litter, (although some scruffs seem to not observe common decency). Enjoy and dispose of your litter properly.
